Cagatay Ersoy is an associate in the New Jersey office of Onal Gallant & Partners.
Mr. Ersoy is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where he was a member of the Columbia Society of International Law. During his time at Columbia, he served as an editorial staffer for the Columbia Human Rights Law Review. Mr. Ersoy was also designated as a Human Rights Fellow by Columbia Law’s Human Rights Institute and Office of Graduate Degree Programs, demonstrating his commitment to pro bono work. He also contributed to the legal practice by making substantive edits to “A Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual.” While at Columbia Law School, he served as a research assistant for Professors George Bermann and Kabir Duggal, concentrating on International Investment Law and Arbitration. Before attending Columbia Law, he graduated cum laude from the Istanbul University Faculty of Law, where he was a board member of the Career Club.
Prior to joining our team, Mr. Ersoy worked as a litigation counsel in Turkey. He represented clients in a variety of industries, including technology, logistics, construction, manufacturing, and retail in Central Asia and the Middle East. He also advised companies on regulatory compliance, labor laws, and administrative laws. On top of these, he represented businesses and individuals in appeals and trial litigation across Turkey, as well as before the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court of Turkey.
At Onal Gallant & Partners, Mr. Ersoy concentrates his practice on business immigration, commercial law, intellectual property, and international investment arbitration matters. His experience flows from his unique exposure to international law, common law, and civil law traditions.
