Carlo is a highly experienced lawyer who has been practicing law in Philippines for over 5 years. He specializes in financing, securities, M&As, and general corporate law. He started his legal career working in a Legal 500 Top Tier Philippine law firm, where he honed his skills in providing top-notch legal services. He has successfully represented clients in a variety of legal matters, including complex financing transactions, securities offerings, and mergers and acquisitions.
In addition to working in private practice, Carlo has also worked as an in-house lawyer in an international financial institution. During his time there, he gained valuable experience in the field of finance and guarantees and a deep understanding of the legal issues that arise in this area. He was able to lead the guarantee team in relation to several bond issuances.
Carlo received his LL.M. from Columbia Law School, where he focused on finance and environmental law. During his time in Columbia, he also served as a research assistant with the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment. His research focused on the compliance of export import agencies with their obligations under the 2016 Paris Agreement. He also holds a J.D. from the University of the Philippines.
