On 1/28/2022, USCIS announced that the initial registration period for 2023 H-1B cap will open at noon on March 1 with Eastern time, running through noon Eastern on March 18, 2022. USCIS online H-1B registration system can be used to complete and submit the registrations.
According to the announcement, each registration will have an assigned confirmation number by USCIS submitted for the FY 2023 H-1B cap. This number is used for tracking registrations only and cannot use to track the case status in Case Status Online. Prospective petitioners or their legal representatives must use a myUSCIS online account to register each beneficiary electronically for the selection process. They also must pay the associated $10 H-1B registration fee for each registration submitted on behalf of each beneficiary.
Representatives can add clients to their accounts at any time. However, representatives and registrants both must wait until March 1 to enter beneficiary information and submit the registration with the $10 fee. Prospective petitioners or their representatives will be able to submit registrations for multiple beneficiaries in a single online session. Using their online account, they can prepare, edit, and store draft registrations prior to final payment and submission of each registration.
When USCIS receives enough registrations by the date of March 18, they will randomly select registrations and send selection notifications through users’ myUSCIS online accounts. USCIS is planning to notify account holders by March 31.
